Internet Printer

While thibs was down in early April 1999, I needed a way to (gasp!) manually send my jobs to the printers. I wrote this utility to copy files directly to HP LaserJet 4000 printers--now I can generate PCL files from home and copy them directly to the printer, without worrying about fonts or measurement differences across platforms.

To start the program, run java ipprint. The program should be laid out fairly simply; all you have to do is to fill in the blanks in the "sentence" and then click "Print". That wasn't the best choice of UI (terrible i18n prospects) but truthfully it doesn't matter to me.

Yes, there are some evil things that you can do with this program, and no, I won't tell you how to do that kind of thing.
