I've added a few sanity checks throughout the code--now it's no longer possible to submit a job without an associated callback. More importantly, jGrid at last has a real client; in the grid.client.fractal package, you'll find a very rudimentary program for distributed plotting of Mandelbrot sets. Currently it's not very user-friendly, but in a release or two I should have it in good enough shape to be an app that one can use without javac. :)
